『青空文庫』にある作品を『Google Translate』で英訳してみました。

俳人蕪村:正岡 子規(991-1055)/1055

自己が唯一の俳人と崇めたる其角の句を評して佳什二十首に上らずといふ、見るべし蕪村の眼中に古人なきを。

俳諧には蕪村または夜半亭の雅名を用うれど、画には寅、春星、長庚、三菓、宰鳥、碧雲洞、紫狐庵等種々の名異名ありきとぞ。

しかれども一生に十七字千句は文学者として珍とするに足らず。

俳句における蕪村の技倆は俳句界を横絶せり、終に芭蕉、其角の及ぶ所に非ず。

連句もまた蕪村は蕪村流を応用して面目を新にせり。
